-Scott P., Design Engineer I

Garmin is the only company where I’ve been treated just like a full-time employee.

Our fitness and outdoor device users are an adventurous bunch. And so are our engineers. They build innovative next-generation wrist-worn, mounted and handheld devices for running, hiking, cycling, swimming, mountaineering, geocaching, golfing, hunting, paddling and multisport activity for all levels. You don't have to be an athlete or adventurer to be one of our fitness engineers, but you should understand what inspires those who are.

Whether for coastal and inland fishing, cruising or sailing, our marine engineers create products designed with features such as all-seeing sonar, hands-free in-view display and radars that use the Doppler effect to detect and highlight moving targets, which make the boating experience even more enjoyable.

Our avionics engineers create products that contain some of the most impressive technology in the industry. The segment streamlines efficiency, underscores safety and simplifies the cockpit through all phases of flight. In other words, our award-winning Garmin avionics engineers don’t just set the standard for avionics capabilities — they reimagine it.

Our automotive engineers have a clear view of the road ahead — and behind it — and even who's in the backseat. It's called driver awareness, and they know the important role it plays in enhancing safety on the road. That's why they develop innovative navigation devices and specialized sensors and cameras for a more confident driving experience.
